Over the last couple of years, some buyers have been put off buying in Ibiza because rental licenses were not being issued; the good news is, the moratorium has been lifted and property owners can now again apply for a rental license. Your villa does not need a rental license if you have no plans to rent it out. This is a common misconception with clients. In fact, the market in Ibiza is more buoyant for people who aren’t planning to rent out their villas – because properties without a rental license tend to be more competitively priced, you’re more likely to secure a good deal.
